Ajiaco Colombiano

I was born in Bogota, Colombia and grew up eating mostly Colombian food. Ajiaco is one dish I knew to get excited about when I saw my mom pull out the big pot. I was very excited to try this dish at Arepa Bar and it did not disappoint. It was very delicious and reminded me of my mom's cooking. I would highly recommend trying this dish.

Had tamales for lunch today. They tasted great and the portion was huge. Friendly service too.

Apepitas de Queso

I love these bite sized arepitas! They are always the perfect mix of crunchy and pillowy soft. The dipping sauce is the perfect complement for the dish. All the dishes I have tried have been excellent and I can't wait for my next visit.

Ajiaco Colombiano

Finally a Colombian restaurant in Raleigh -much needed good quality diversity. A hidden gem that serves up home-made meals. Love the arepas and Ajiaco(Very tradition chicken & potatoes Colombian soup) Food: quality/price=Excellent. Fresh-off the stove. Generous proportions for reasonable prices. Atmosphere= Excellent. Relaxing native music that allows you to chat-up at your table without having to raise your voice Parking Accessibility = Lots of Street Parking. Not a busy commercial area. Great place! Gracias! Bandeja Bowl

The food and service were amazing! I will definitely be a return customer. I am based in Durham, but am willing to drive 40 minutes to get here and eat again!

Build Your Own Arepa

I visited the restaurant on September 14th and ordered two plain arepas and two tripleta arepas. I was also given a free order of rice pudding (arroz con leche). EVERYTHING was excellent. The arepas were perfectly charred, the meat succulent and flavorful. The chimichurri that came with the arepas took them to the next level. And the service ... fast and polite. Everyone was following the necessary safety measures. I will be going back by the end of the week to try other dishes!
